Did Magnus actually say that there was already a story behind it???

He did say in an interview a while back that it'd be explained in a future episode.
So either he is (was) planning for a third season, or it was an idea that was dropped from the second.

#9 will probably look like the original Sportacus in "Latibaer"

That could be interesting, if #9 actually turned out to be Íþróttaálfurinn.
That could neatly explain a lot of the differences in the characters (i.e. why he stopped being an elf).

However, Íþróttaálfurinn also had a #10 written on his back, did he not?

He did, i said he would look like Íþróttaálfurinn not be him, but still it is a possibility, wouldnt be the first time they made a mistake with things like that, but it would be pretty cool if he was #9
