I keep having this , and I was wondering about it...it's called "pilaf".
It's basicly rice with some herbs (goes best with spinach or Stinging nettle - boiled of course lol)
I wanted to ask SS, is this a turkish dish?

yes...but it's not PILAF...it's Pilav...(Pee-law XD)...and it's Turkish...but came from eastern so it could be Persian too...I really not much know...

Same here. To me, their Chicken always tastes like it's been coated in glue, and their fries are just as bad.

I'll never try an Indian takeaway as I haven't got the stomach for it, takeaway pizza's in my area are way too expensive, kebabs look disgusting, I do eat at Mc D's but very rarely............I can't think of any more takeaways![/quote:2fa9d]

Maybe THERE, but HERE KFC IS DELICIOUS!!! ...Except I've heard the farms they get the chicken from mistreat the chickens. Which makes me sad and disturbs me. All the same, it tastes pretty good.

I love Indian food. My grandma got me turned onto it. Her housemate makes it for her. And whenever she flies in to visit, we order Indian carryout and eat it by ourselves.

McDonald's is pretty good, but suicide for your body. Still, it's very cheap if you're downtown and strapped for cash. The dollar menu does come in handy there.

Fun fact: In America, nobody ever says "take away." We call it take out.

Here, it's called "carryout."

Oh, we had a whole graphic presentation on the chicken treatment in tenth grade. I think our biology teacher was a member of PeTA.

And I've heard both takeout and carryout. At least now I'll know that takeaway means the same thing.

But anyway, today I had chocolate covered strawberries. Delicious.

For breakfast, I had wheat pancakes from a box (mix). They were okay, but the syrup was nasty--it was this crap:



With that, I had some delicious turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. Not exactly a healthy breakfast, but the bacon and eggs were awesome.

For lunch, I had this:

With that, I had a cherry coke zero.

For dinner, I am having a grilled chicken sandwich with a mixture of mayo and BBQ sauce (sent from heaven, man I love that stuff), as well as a slice of tomato. If only we weren't out of provolone cheese.... :(

I've remembered what I wanted to ask you lot.
Do Americans {and other Nationalities} know what biscuits are? Have you heard of them? Or are they always called Cookies?

It started out as a joke. My friends had joked about it - even egged each other on to try it. We all laughed at the concept.
