I wonder if they'll recast Sportacus or replace him with Number 11 for a new series. Maggi could be in it as the mayor following Milford's retirement.

Just randomly ran into some illegal download links for this movie, this time it is legit. There are a few versions out, so I'll give some quick info about them. No direct links in this topic since that might put this forum at risk. :)

          File name: The.Spy.Next.Door.R6.READNFO.XVID-RamPeD
          File Size: 770MB
The release by RamPeD is the Chinese DVDRip with the CAM US audio mixed in. The CAM audio is from someone recording the US movie while in a US theater. There are Chinese subtitles hardcoded into the video, so it's not exactly screenshot-friendly for dialog scenes.
File name: The Spy Next Door 2010 R6 DVDRip XviD-ViSiON
          File size: 1.50 GB
Same as above except "ViSiON have Blurred the Chinese Hardcoded Subs and tweaked the video a bit."
          File name: The.Spy.Next.Door.2010.CN.DVDRip.XviD-XTM
          File Size: about 750 MB
Probably the same as the release as RamPeD, but I don't know for sure.
Personally, I recommend the RamPeD release for people who are new to this kind of thing.

EDIT: I made a small Magnus segments only video with Avidemux, no re-encoding needed :). Magnus has about 12 minutes of screen time. Download link:

Didn't like the movie at all as I expected so I skipped directly to the Magnus part which was not very spectacular too.
              Waste of money and energy.
I would rather see a LazyTown movie, Magnus !!

I enjoyed Maggi's performances, but he's a newbie cinema actor. He needs some training to reach his full potential. This doesn't mean he could be a kickarse villain in other films ;)

                BTW, BobPoldark is my OTP.

Well, today I had the opportunity to watch the famous and expected film "Spy Next Door" (I mean, for all of us, LazyTown fans and followers).

Somehow, I felt exactly the same after I watched "A fix" with Julianna. Too much expectations, too much publicity and really few merits for all that. The film itself is a very Jackie Chan's classical movie: a lot of incredible jumps, martial arts everywhere well done and studied to produce the most amazing, stupid but funny moves (that even the good Sportacus would envy), and all that over a very predictable script. The plot of the film is very trite BUT let's be honest: who goes to watch a Jackie Chan's movie based on its script or story? Everyone goes to watch an action movie, when see Jackie Chan´s name on it. That is. So, from that point of view, for me is 6/10 (could be worse, but I like Jackie Chan).

From the point of view of MS performance, well, there is no much to say about it. I like Sportacus' behavior on LT and maybe that was the problem to me: I couldn't take him as a russian villain. In this movie, I always saw him as a special "Sportacus" (without his classical outfit, of course) jumping and hitting like crazy, trying to follow the Jackie Chan's steps, with a funny russian-english accent and trying to look as a bad guy (from a funny point of view) . Yeah, you probably get fun a little bit because of all that crazy scenes but probably you would do it because you like Sportacus (or Magnús Scheving) as a person and not due to the actor performance presented. In short, if the villain was another actor (and not MS) probably you (and me) would criticize him much more. However, because I like MS, his athletic work in this film deserves a 9/10 but his actor work is a 5/10.

The best of this film, for me, were the kids, Will Shadley (as Ian), Madeline Carroll (as Farren) and the lovely Alina Foley (as Nora): really funny and convincing. A real good work. They deserve an 8/10.

The rest of the cast was totally forgettable (specially Billy Ray Cyrus, who apparently thinks is the same to perform a CIA agent than Miley's dad on HM show -- or movie-- because I didn't see any difference between both works of him).

In conclusion, I agree Pooky, you're right: MS should return to his LT movie idea and the other LT plans announced previously. That is his thing, where he can show all his potential as a person, creator, writer, producer, director, athlete and, yes, as an good actor too.

                    H.

I know, I saw the video, well, not all movie, few scenes, and perhaps yes, a lot of commercials but later... , but Magnús is a great actor, I would like he makes a movie with Simon Baker (The Mentalist), they are crazy men and if they make a crazy movie can be very funny! Btw, if you want to know news about Magnús and Latibaer, see this link:

I... actually liked Billy Ray's performance. AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT CONSIDERING HOW MUCH I HATE HIM.

Maggi... was a mixed bag. I LOVE POLDARK TO BITS, but his accent was all over the place, hovering somewhere between his usual Sportaaccent and something a lot meaner. His performance was atypical of a Jackie Chan film- high camp mixed with some epic moves and no fears. His athleticism pwns though- in 20 years time he may still be doing action films when Jackie's forced into retirement by years of injuries!

I haven't seen ALL of it, but I have enjoyed what I've seen so far, and I look forward to seeing it over Easter. It's not gonna win any Oscars, it's just a fun film that never takes itself seriously.
