Thanks actually having a sleepover atm....got a digital camera for my b-day as well as some other little things...cool socks included...
Also, I met John Waters. Brownies for anyone who knows who that is without looking him up.
And I got a signed copy of the True Blood book.
Isn't he the main character from True Blood?
Him?
He wrote Hairspray {I think} and was in The Simpsons for an episode.

His mustache is much more epic in person...and he wears crazy socks just like me...
But yeah, Hairspray (original movie) was his idea. But never, ever have him sign anything related to it, because he'll get mad about people who pushed him to sell the idea...especially the remake...
Original Broadway Cast? Me too.
My favourite song is "You Can't Stop The Beat" and I can't remember which, but they either cut it in half or didn't use it in the movie!
:(

Anyway, today I got my presents from my grandma Nancy (she lives in California). I was so excited, even though the box was small and light.
Upon opening it, I found a plastic bag with a card and a wrapped object inside. The card said that my phone is eligible for an upgrade next month, and she'll buy me an iPhone! This is awesome! Especially because my current phone is shit due to my mom throwing it at a wall last year. It's all static-y and refuses to call people when I need it to.
Under the wrapping I found multiple delightful objects. There were four pairs of cool socks, one Hawaiian comb, two Hawaiian bracelets, and one shiny purple bookmark with silver doodads on it.
And usually she brings gifts with her, or even just souvenirs from places she's been (she's a bigshot at a big, famous company, so she gets to travel the world). So I might get more gifts later this month when she visits.
I know, it's not all about the gifts...but I don't get cool stuff that often!
I do miss her though. Can't wait to order in Indian food and talk about nonsense. And shopping is fun too, she's a good shopping buddy. Not only do I always get most of what I want (I'm spoiled haha), but she also knows her stuff about fashion so she helps me pick out cool clothes and match them together. And she has a million cards, so she gets really good deals.
I think the best thing about the yearly packages I get from her are the wonderful books she picks out for me. I haven't gotten any books from her the past few years, but I remember in elementary school when I was always so hurt and alone, I'd have those stories to comfort me. It really meant a lot.
Anyway, enough ranting. Time to play some of the video games I bought with my birthday gift card.
