Hey all!
My name's Emi, I'm 23 and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I only just stumbled in here after going ten years without knowing a forum for LazyTown fans existed ... !!!
I watched my first episode of LT ten years ago. I can't remember the circumstances but I certainly remember being creeped out. LT for me soon became synonymous with Weird Kiddie Shows I Will Never Understand, and I kinda just left it alone and went on with my life.
Okay, I admit it. I'm here because of the memes. I have a LOT of catching up to do in terms of watching the actual show, but I know I'll get there soon enough. Stingy is shaping up to be my favourite so far, with Robbie Rotten trailing behind him.
As for me, personally, I'm a soon-to-be Uni graduate, trainee teacher, member of Toastmaster and writer of poetry.
Looking forward to meeting all of you!
Emi x

Hello everyone, welcome!! ^^
Haha I know what it's like!! I'm in my early 20s and it started with just me watching memes, then songs and small clips from the show, but I thought: "I have to draw the line at watching the actual episodes, it's a children's show!" Still I decided to just try a few to see what I'd think about them since I'd enjoyed everything I'd watched at that point so much, and here we are, now I'm an actual fan of LazyTown and completely unashamed. It's just that good. <3Originally posted by ibmpcdos5 View PostHello there, name's IBMPCDOS5 and I kinda have a sweet spot for LazyTown. Dunno why but I do. I'm almost 14 and I still enjoy it; maybe first it was the childhood nostalgia and then the memes and now I unironically enjoy the show and I like the two Latibær plays. :p S O M E O N E E X P L A I N T H I S T O M E

Hey Jam, and welcome to the forumz!Originally posted by jamcub View PostCall me Jam!
The "meme-craze" definitely brought in a ton of new peeps, but I'm genuinely surprised at how many fans that also found their way in here.
You shouldn't worry too much about not having too much experience with forums - you'll soon get the hang of it.
When I initially joined, I was a die-hard imageboard user, and even though I've shifted more towards chatting clients, these day, the real forum experience is still something special.
Anyways, welcome to, and enjoy your stay!

I actually forgot introduce myself - so here I go.
Call me Jam! I joined thanks to the meme craze. I'm from Germany and I do art and writing in my spare time. I also am not too good at forum use, surprisingly.

Yeah, Fox is right, there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking LazyTown. The people who don't like it, don't know what they're missing out on!Originally posted by Fox View PostHey IBM, and welcome to!
There's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying the show. I'm almost 10 years older than you, and I too enjoy the show to bits.
The music, the actors, the history.. Everything goes together and creates this wonderful atmosphere. :)
Your post actually made me genuinely glad.
It seems that we got the stage plays translated at the most perfect time, seeing as this new gain in popularity was just around the corner.
There aren't many "MayMay-Masters" out there, that would care the slightest about the history of the show, and go to the extend of watching the old Latibær plays.
You, on the other hand, is a living proof that there actually is some, which makes me extremely happy inside.
Because if there's one thing we'd like to do here on GetLazy, it is to make sure the history of LazyTown never becomes forgotten, and that the spirit of the show lives on - even after everything official has shut down.
Anyways, enough rambling, welcome to GetLazy my friend..
