Hey Jam, and welcome to the forumz!
The "meme-craze" definitely brought in a ton of new peeps, but I'm genuinely surprised at how many fans that also found their way in here.
You shouldn't worry too much about not having too much experience with forums - you'll soon get the hang of it.
When I initially joined, I was a die-hard imageboard user, and even though I've shifted more towards chatting clients, these day, the real forum experience is still something special.

Anyways, welcome to, and enjoy your stay!

Haha I know what it's like!! I'm in my early 20s and it started with just me watching memes, then songs and small clips from the show, but I thought: "I have to draw the line at watching the actual episodes, it's a children's show!" Still I decided to just try a few to see what I'd think about them since I'd enjoyed everything I'd watched at that point so much, and here we are, now I'm an actual fan of LazyTown and completely unashamed. It's just that good. <3

          Hey all!

My name's Emi, I'm 23 and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I only just stumbled in here after going ten years without knowing a forum for LazyTown fans existed ... !!!

I watched my first episode of LT ten years ago. I can't remember the circumstances but I certainly remember being creeped out. LT for me soon became synonymous with Weird Kiddie Shows I Will Never Understand, and I kinda just left it alone and went on with my life.

Okay, I admit it. I'm here because of the memes. I have a LOT of catching up to do in terms of watching the actual show, but I know I'll get there soon enough. Stingy is shaping up to be my favourite so far, with Robbie Rotten trailing behind him.

As for me, personally, I'm a soon-to-be Uni graduate, trainee teacher, member of Toastmaster and writer of poetry.

Looking forward to meeting all of you!

          Emi x

Hello Emi, and welcome to the GL forums!
I was kinda in the same boat as you, when I initially joined, not knowing about this marvelous place for fans.
A lot of things have happened over the years though, and with the recent exposure LazyTown have gotten, this place is now sparkeling with life, and full of LazyTown fans from around the world.

I hope you'll have a great time here, and hopefully learn a lot about the show you weren't even aware of!

              Pretty nice, eh?
Just goes to show that not all LazyTown fans are basement dwellers.. ;)

Oh wow, I haven't had this warm a welcome to a fandom since my very early days with the Bronies. Thank you!

I haven't used an online forum in maybe two and a half years so forgive me if I use the wrong layout for everything lmao.

And as for basement dwellers Fox, one thing I've learn over the past five years is just because you like a children's show, doesn't mean you automatically fit a stereotype. And even if you do, you still deserve respect.

                Thanks much! x

Hello Triagonal. It's interesting that your earliest memory of Lazytown was being creeped out. I had this exact same reaction. Flicking channels and seeing that Pixel puppet with the freaky hair is what did it. But Stephanie lifted my spirits during a rough time and made me a fan.

The fanart and memes are a world of their own and some of them extremely creative. Still, can't help but wonder what it would be like if LazyTown never became anything else but a preschool show. I'm sure there are certain people who would like that idea.

Just curious, what poets do you like? Were you inspired by anybody or are you just an independent trailblazer?

                    Hey UnLearned!

I'm a pretty big fan of slam poetry. I used to be inspired by Romantic - style poets like Robert Brown but for me now it's all about slam poetry. Neil Hilborn I'm a big fan of in particular.

I also like a lot of hip-hop for the style and the wordplay too. Tupac, Killer Mike, A Tribe Called Quest etc. To me a lot of that stuff is beat poetry set to a beat really.

Hey guys. I've been kinda stalking here for the oast few weeks and only now have I actually decided to join and comment.

I really bounced back into Lazytown recently. I admire the way that Lazytown started and the work and effort put into it. I'm a pretty weird guy, so be ready for lots of weird questions.

I'm also a fan of LazyTown, even though I'm in high school. I used to watch it when I was little, and I got back into it because of all the memes. :xd: It's fine to like a kids' show, even if you're considered "too old" for it. IT'S STEPHER TIME
