There is nothing wrong with it if you're from Germany. However, it is not the convention in the United States and is usually reserved for those who are intentionally trying to be anti-religious.
I've always associated the expression with America, shows how much I know! lol.
Everyone I know says bless you. We're not religious, it just rolls off the tongue better.
How did we go from soccer to sneezing? Is this the "other stuff" lol.
I agree. Back ontopic, sneezing people.
And God Bless all you atheists too
Vot der Hölle ist wrong with saying "Gesundheit"? Ve haf veys...
saying "Gesundheit" is actually not correct...the right behave is to say "excuse me" after neezing...
i thought it was someting like 'prosit' what germans say. we say 'bless you' no matter you're religious or not it's part of the tradition and its almost an insult if you dont say anything

From B.C. when cavemen kicked around the head of their rival tribes leader in celebration of their victory.
T.L.B.C you mean XD (too long b4 Christ)
Oh...excuse me. I meant B.C.E.
Oh come on Stingy, you're not one of those people who say gesundheit instead of God bless you, are you?
Mostly I say nothing. But if anyone sneezes around me, it's one of my friends, and I say "SHUT THE **** UP" lol.
But I would never say "God bless you." I MIGHT (however unlikely) say "bless you" but yes, for the most part I'd say I am one of those people lol.
