Re: Youtube.com
So YouTube is rolling out the new Layout for some users (including me) as a experiment. It's not bad, only two things I hate: all the different sized profile icons and the subscribtions feed which becomes a newsfeed and is showing all activity from all your friends and subscribtions (that means likes, favs, comments, uploads etc), so that looks like a total mess, just like facebook is now.. :(

It's always surprising what recommended video's pop up, I can't remember I have watched a startrek video, or an Ash video, or a game video recently because I reallly don't care about those.

Re: Youtube.com
What I mean is that the video only forces to play in HTML5 with Google Chrome. In FF and IE the video plays just the flash like normal.Originally posted by Buzz..I was able to watch the first video in FF without problems btw...I have FF 7.0.1Originally posted by pookyYoutube is experimenting with HTML5

Re: Youtube.com
Youtube is experimenting with HTML5 and I must say that I like it better than the original flash.
I have one video that forces you to watch it in HTML5 in Google Chrome (does not work in FF or IE) so you can check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-8nHawSiEU
This is the one without to watch in HTML5 in Google Chrome, so you can compare without using the trial (below):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUg0nMm9dfo
The advantage for me is that there is no sync problem in HTML5 (the audio stays in tune with the video). I have that problem with flash that the audio comes later compared with the video watching the video the first time.
If you want all the video's in HTML5, you can join the trial here: http://www.youtube.com/html5 (at your own risk)

Re: Youtube.com
Everybody can have unlimited downloads now.

Another thing:
this is there for a few months already but most of the people don't know about it or something. Try for example the CosmicPanda layout and YouTube looks a lot different. Some functions are not working, like making videoresponses, with the new layout. There is always a way to go back to the old layout. It's fun to try it out.

Re: Youtube.com
You can see that new feature too if you specify 'worldwide' as Location (bottom of the page on YT), and you try to make a comment on a video.Originally posted by Buzznice hack ^^...is it a new feature?Originally posted by StingyWhat the hell am I looking at now?
Another update is that since setember 6th you can not reopen your YouTube account anymore that you voluntarily closed earlier.

Re: Youtube.com
Every week I see a different feature, and after a day it's gone and the normal lay-out is back.
I kinda liked the lay-out where you could play the video in slow motion or speed it up, but it was there only for two days :?
Now they're testing a new rating??
Looks like they have an overcapacity in programmer-clowns that invent the most funniest things.
Oh look I found one on the internet
