I don't think I've seen that one Below. Kind of gives me Lovecraft vibes. Looks interesting.
I did look it up. Maybe that's why it flew under my radar. Another movie the studio paid for and
just dropped the ball on it because they lost faith in it. Cost $40 million to make and it only made $2.6 million back
at the box office in 2002. I never understood why those idiot suits do that. They spent nothing on advertising the film.
Nowadays, I just fire up and play Silent Hunter 4:Wolves of the Pacific for my submarine fix.

I am of course partial to The Enemy Below
https://stephers.lazytown.eu/ch/anim/heiney.htm
For some reason the timings were off when I tried watching that, had to Ctrl-F5 to reload the page and start over and then it timed perfectly.
I used to read submarine books like Run Silent Run Deep and Dust on the Sea, as well as supernatural ones like Ghostboat. Speaking of which, there's a good supernatural sub movie called Below. Have that one on DVD. Also have Das Boot, read the book for that one too though it's a bit long.

I watched Down Periscope (1996) last night. One of my coworkers really likes it, so I gave it a try. It's a really dumb comedy, but I found myself laughing a lot more than I thought I would. I'm a sucker for submarine stuff - I've read half a dozen of the Bantam War Books stories on U-boats and other diesel submarines - so that helped. Coincidentally, I had been on board the very submarine used in the film (it's a floating museum in San Francisco) way before I knew it was featured in this movie.

After the disappointment of Morbius last week we decided to watch something from my DVD collection: Stargate. Such a great film, she had never seen it before. I really like the TV shows spawned from it as well, have all the DVDs for those.- Translate

I watched Wong Jing's City Hunter starring Jackie Chan 2 weeks ago. It was art.
Then I went on to read the manga - a posterior on the first page. Will save that one for when I'm older
Then I wanted to watch the TV show - breasts 5 minutes in. Will save that one for when I'm older
THEN I decided to watch the anime movies - so far, so good.
I've never got into anime and manga, so this will be cool.
I feel I am the only one in Sydney who has heard of City Hunter though.- Translate

This year, the Bruceploitation 'THE BIG BOSS PART II' (1976) was finally found.
Originally posted by Backyard AsiaIt seems that back in the apartheid days of the 70s and 80s a lot of wild HK and other Asian films played in the South African cinemas. One big cinema had a lot of these prints and when the owner died his son-in-law took over. That guy formed a video label called Global and he started to put out a lot of these rare films on DVD.
Crude cinema prints were used for the DVD's without any form of restoration but at least it means you can get to see these rare films.
Anyhoo, to make a long story short the Global guy had a print of THE BIG BOSS PART 2 but didn't wish to release it (despite heaps of fans bugging him about it) and in the end he sold the print to a cinema in Zambia. I don't have the name nor location of said cinema.
Film has finally been released on Bluray 1080p HD by Severin Films for their 'Game of Clones' boxset.- Translate

Watching Sammo Hung as the protagonist in 'Enter the Fat Dragon' (Mang Hoi and Yuen Biao are thugs in a fight scene..) . This is probably the best screenshot I could take and possibly the only one until I see some funnier ones..

Watched every Bruce Lee movie excluding Game of Death because it has his corpse in one shot [and is just grave-robbing for money].
DRAGON THE BRUCE LEE STORY looks good.- Translate
