The coffee cup gag was just that - a simple joke that was written because it sounded funny. It had nothing to do with Bush. The reason it became an issue is that a newspaper writer saw the cup with the map of Texas on it and wondered aloud if it was a political reference. It wasn't. Same for when Robbie wandered around wearing a bush. No reference to the Prez, just a funny visual.

Yeah, people read too much into it. I actually think it is very scary that they removed it. I mean que'ce que ****, this wasn't the government, this was a campaign team telling them to remove it. I might write them that they have to add a special Stephanie scene (no, not THAT kind of special, ya dirty wee rat), otherwise the episode will be insulting to a special minority often found on http://www.getlazy.net ^_^ Wonder if they'll be just as forthcoming...
