A few months late on the reply but.. I actually don't remember if I even tipped or not. I think that I probably did, because their service was above-and-beyond, but probably only 10%. I enjoy not tipping while abroad, so they're lucky ;)

I had a meal there during my visit. The place was very nice and the food was good, especially the reindeer, and the customer service was American level, a real rarity in Iceland. Very pricey though, and the portions were very much not American level

In the LazyPod interview, he mentions the resturant, so my assumption is that it is still going well. I have searched online and only seen good / mediocre reviews.

I remember restaurants. I've only been in one 2 or 3 times since 2019 due to covid. Always recently after a vaccine when our antibodies were high and always when it was almost empty. Maybe someday things will change. Not anytime soon though. They've become so expensive that it's probably just as well. A luxury I don't care to pay for. More and more of my money seems to go to medical expenses these days...

My coworkers often get fast food to go for lunch but I can't remember the last time I knew of one sitting down for a meal inside a restaurant, except for the well-paid executives. Years. And they are much less concerned about covid than me (but more concerned about money, they all seem to have houses, children and bills up the wazoo). Back before covid I used to eat out all the time, sometimes with coworkers, but none of us do that now.

Anyways, as to what you said about going to resturants, completely the opposite for me. The last time I went to one with my family may have been a few months ago, but there's a lot more in store for the rest of the year.
