Question on the GetLazy YouTube channel's upscaled episodes

I own DVDs of most LazyTown episodes and have them ripped on PC. As one may expect, it is SD content, which my S90D Samsung TV can very well upscale, but seeing the great results from the AI upscaling and 50 fps conversions, I began to wonder something.

I am a sucker for German dubs, I prefer to watch most of my Blu-Rays and DVDs in German, even if I do speak English fluently. So I ask, is it possible to replace the original audio track of these videos with the one from the German dub? I tinkered a while with Shotcut, but I am far too underqualified in any and all fields of editing, so I scrapped such projects immediately (different lengths, fps etc).

Besides, it would also seem rather careless of me in hindsight that I attempted this without even having asked if I would have permission to do so (irrespective of my fruitless endeavor in trying it).

I promised to share them when I had all of the season 1 episodes in 50fps (create with AI) but I ran out of time and there are now 29 episodes. Five more episodes to go. I will start start this project again soon so I can finish it. Every language dub is available of course.

That would be very lovely if we were to have that visual quality just with the German dub. My Kodi media archive would love you for that. Would this simply include putting the available dubbed episodes (i.e. the ones from "LazyTown Deutschland") through whatever process you used?

Once I have them all done, I will post the instructions for adding the language dub to all the episodes. Adding them usually takes less than a minute.

One question I have about the GetLazy channel is how it disappeared, came back, disappeared again, and came back again.
I don't understand how that can even happen.

Or do you just have multiple email adresses and tend to never delete any files off your PC?

I can't quite put my finger on whether or not the sound quality of my DVDs is better or worse than the ones from the German LazyTown channel's uploads. Depending how that whole process works with adding the dubs, that may be something that needs to be considered for optimum quality.

Thanks for the offer. All I need to do is upload it to make it available. Not so much work.

When I created the 50fps versions I let the GPU and AI do it's work. That was easy.

Synchronizing the language-dub to the video usually takes longer because I had to cut or add a piece of the audio-file to fit, adjust the volume etc. I had to do that manually. But once that done, it's good forever. I have done 2/3 of all the languages, I think. Although when a better audio quality comes along I need to to sync it again, and replace the old files. That is a step backwards. So it's actually half of the languages that are now good in the best quality. I'm a bit slow with that 😊

Glad to hear about the progress! I'll really be interested how this looks and sounds with my setup of soundbar and 4k AI Upscaling TV, considering it even makes DVDs look a lot better than they usually look.
