Re: Lazytown in real life
But devoting your life to a video game is totally diferent right?Originally posted by SonicStephanieI'm not that kind of person to let a TV show to change my habits...
Look i dont think everyone here is really saying that so much as they are saying it influenced them in
a posative way. I get where your coming from, but your approaching the moral high ground for all the wrong reasons.
We're simply discussing a show that had a big enough impact in our lives that we joined a forum to discuss it with others like ourselves (more or less) You joined this forum, and you post here almost daily. So that means you have changed a series of your usual day to day routines to contribute here, (and i use the word contribute extremely loosely)
Therefore, you have allowed this show to change your life in a manner of speaking no?
I'm not knocking you for what you do, i love video games too, and i also like LT alot.
But you cant claim a TV show hasn't influenced your way of life when you post here every
five minutes. Just meet me halfway here man.- Translate

Re: Lazytown in real life
Actually alot of my friends like the fact that I like LazyTown because its part of who I am.
A couple of them said they would come to see LazyTown live if I ever went to see it.
My japanese school mates who have always been close to me sometimes make fun of me in a friendly fashion but on the whole I think they don't mind. One of them watched a whole bunch of episodes with me one time.
No one has really called me a paedo... apart from a lippy 11 year old girl. She's adorable.
My stoner mate loves it.

Re: Lazytown in real life
Nice story :)Originally posted by diesal11First saw it when i was 13 and had to go to our neighbors when my mum left for work an hour early on Wednesdays. the kids there were younger and one of them was a pre-schooler so they had ABC on (the kids network in Australia...well before and after school anyway) i just sat on the couch pretending i was bored but secretly watching the show ;)
3 years later (now) my mate showed me the "lol, limewire" flash thing. i remembered the song and then Lazytown. and my obsession grew from there.
IRL it's defiantly helped me through tough times lately (i get "meltdowns" quite often cause of my A.D.H.D and Aspergers) only 3 of my friends know one thinks i like it cause the songs are catchy. another cause they think i wanna **** juli/steph (despite explaining it to them 100000 times that i find steph cute in a NON-SEXUAL way.) the other one hates it and hates when i talk about it. but JUST accepts it cause it helps me through all the shit.
On top of all that since i started watching it i've started brushing my teeth more/properly, exercising more (wanna be like sportacus...but thats never gonna happen lol) and i've generally been happy more!- Translate
