Curiosities Why is Ziggy in school with the other kids?

    • Ziggy is six years old
    • Stephanie, Trixie & Stingy are eight years old
    • Pixel is nine years old
Ziggy is a six year old so he should be in Grade 1.
Steph, Trixie and Stinge are eight years old so they should be in Grade 3.
Pixel being the oldest should be a fourth grader.

But they take all the same classes at the same time, learning the same subjects/units/topics. Why so?

We have schools with mixed ages. Not every country has schools with grades/classes in the old way.
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

Sorry, I just know that the UK, DRC, Australia & USA do it the old-fashioned way.

Perhaps Iceland also has a different school system. LazyTown certainly has that 🙂

I went to a school that groups student based on skill level and not age, age gaps were as much as 5 years. It's not common, but it certainly happens (it's mostly special schools)

Also, some small towns have a class with every student and a single teacher for every subject. LazyTown seems to be a small town, so I think it's likely

In small American towns there used to be one room schoolhouses with all grades in the same classroom. That was before buses.

Well, yes, that's some crucial info that could possibly be used to solve this mystery, but I think the town is in Iceland. UGH, why didn't I ask Magnus where it was when I had a chance? Then this thread would be over and done with.

Your obnoxious reply doesn't really deserve an answer, but for the sake of anyone else reading, one room schoolhouses were not just an American phenomenon, you could find them anywhere before the advent of buses. Such as the schoolhouse at Skógar in Iceland (now a museum).

Go to 8:29 and for the most important of information go to 11:56

There's probably still schools like this in the most rural of places.
Something to look up actually to see if they still exist here.

It's interesting how people take it for granted that they can read, write, and do mathematics. For almost all of human history these were exotic skills reserved for a few, like priests and the rich.

Imagine what the internet would be like if most people could not read and write. It would look like....youtube and tiktok lol. Maybe you can imagine why I avoid those places.

Yup for the most part reserved for the upper echelons of society.

Oh boy social media. Who needs to spend money to get a PHD in psychology when you
can get a free education by watching Tik Toks. Classic example of what the old mental asylums
looked like viewed on the inside.

Probably the main and current obstacle as to why ETs are still reluctant to make their
global existence known to the global population. 😄

When I see a tiktok, the manic way they talk reminds me of Brad Pitt in 12 Monkeys.
