        "Poof" is British derogatory slang for homosexual. Said the same way I guess.

          As Zokita and Suburbanmum have said, "muff" = girlybits and "poof" = gay guy.

          "Puff" was used by some as an alternative to "poof" for a while back in the 70s, but it never really caught on.
