I think only people from the UK can watch it. Plus it's only available till next Thursday.

Does anyone want me to record the clip and put it on Youtube? Or would you like to see the whole show? It's a news show for adults. It's very funny.

Episode 3 isn't up on Youtube, but 1 and 2 are.

If you can watch it, there are several tricks on your browser in order to capture it. For instance, if you are using FireFox, you can use the downloader helper (like many times Nindanjoe has suggested us in this forum).
If you have Firefox but it doesn't have still the donloadhelper you can download the respective add-on (only takes about 3 or 4 minutes the whole procedure: Tools->Add-ons->Downloahelper pugin).

If you are using other browser (NOT IE), normally it keeps a temporary copy of those downloaded videos in a temporary destination folder (usually):

      "C:\Documents and Settings\[your PC username] \Local settings\Program data\(Browser name]\Cache".

      For instance, for Firefox is:
      "C:\Documents and Settings\[your PC username] \Local settings\Program data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\45cddly4.default\Cache".

In that place are kept all the links and/or videos viewed recently. However, those files normally have only letters and numbers put randomly and they haven't any extension names and, in your PC, they appear like a file
without any association to known Windows/Microsoft/or whatever application. It is not a problem. Just take a look on the date and time when they were downloaded into your PC and you'll know which file is the right one
(even its size can help you). Then, make a copy of it and rename it: you can try extension names like AVI, MP4, ASF or MOV. Normally this works well.

I hope this can help you to downloaded it and put it on YT. :)

      H.

I have been using Download Helper for ages. Unfortunately, it will not download BBC Iplayer videos.

Ok. Try the second method, would you?

Well I don't have a Local Settings folder. And Mozilla is in my Program Files not Data, and I don't have a Cache for it apparently. But Firefox is set so it doesn't remember my stuff. It's meant to remember my usernames and passwords for a few things, but the last few days it's gone weird like my last version of Firefox, which forgot everything despite the fact I haven't changed anything. Is it Microsoft updates that are removing stuff from browsers so they don't remember passwords because of all those attacks they had recently.

Well, maybe you have to manage a little your personal rights in your PC (I mean, work on it like a local administrator) and open all the hidden folder and files. Maybe that is the problem.

Well it's no problem. I can record my screen later, just not now. I'm a bit busy.

Re: Brief Mention in Russell Howard's Good News

I added some extra info about the BBC iPlayer in this topic and how you can download/convert the HQ files:

                          http://www.getlazy.net/forums/viewto...t=2235&p=52055

It's more complicated than the normal stream download proces which Humberto, and in the orther topic Nindanjoe, mentioned, which normally works fine with most of the streams btw. So thanks for that.

btw I saw the brief mentioning of Sportacus and it was a funny joke of 3 seconds, about a kid who was fat and how Sportacus would not have liked that.

                          I lock this topic.
