  • 80's TV with LazyTown

Something interesting happened today. Someone linked me to something called "80's TV" which is a site that has old shows and commercials on different "channels". I clicked around for awhile and noticed other eras on the right side of the site. So I clicked on "2000's TV" and on the list on the right I deselected everything then selected "Kids" and turned on the "TV". I couldn't resist clicking 2004. I clicked around a few "channels" and...Swiped Sweets came on, right before the Cooking by the Book scene. Other channels also had Lazytown eps.

    Lazy Scouts

Clicking 2005 and I quickly found a Nick Jr interview with Julianna

and more Season 1 and 2 eps.

Clicking around in 2008 quickly yielded Lazytown Extra.

It's amazing how much easier it is to see Lazytown episodes today compared to back then! To just come across them on a general nostalgia site was amazing.

Back in the day everyone had to buy DVDs or more commonly trade video files captured from various sources (many eps were not even put on DVD). It was quite a challenge to even get them all, never mind decent quality ones without watermarks all over them.

You can get Home Alone: Lost in New York on YouTube, but you can't upload 20 minute clips without getting blocked by Fox 2000.

The 80s TV website is taking long as heck to load as if it's a video game.

I'm not here to spoil your fun but those are just YouTube videos embedded. Same as you did on the Stephers website, although that code is obsolete now.

      See the info on https://www.myretrotvs.com

You can now watch a custom YouTube playlist by adding the following parameter to the 📺 URL: ?list=YourCustomYouTubePlaylistIDGoesHere

      Examples:

      http-my90stv.com/?list=PLmzT7Q_MSthLrswE7TTY7fOxPU_JxJu5O
      http-my80stv.com/?list=PL634F2B56B8C346A2

It's better and easier to make a playlist or find a playlist on YouTube with all the episodes.
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

So far, all the website is doing is making me wait for a video to load. I literally removed all my YouTube extensions to get it to play and I still have to wait forEVER for the website to load.

It's a very cool project, and gives a great retro feel to watching the episodes.
But as posted above, it's all just embedded YouTube videos.
          Here's the videos you posted:

          Swiped Sweets
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKqKO5Zj-Uc

          Lazy Scouts
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idSz0X-_ofQ

          Nick Jr interview with Julianna
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILQ5VW5SPOc

          Lazytown Extra.

It's actually pretty neat how well this is made, considering it continues playing when you "switch channels" or even "turn off" the TV. Totally like a real TV would work!

          Absolutely agree.
All media in general has become much more accessible now a days, with streaming being at the forefront for this.
I still remember Chris sending me all the episodes over nothing other than freaking email back in the day.. Oh how far we've come..
I'm as sneaky as can be. None's sneakier than me.
