    LazyTown Style Guide

Here's a request that may be nearly impossible to fulfill. I am looking for any of the high resolution imagery or better yet complete ISOs of the CDs from the LazyTown Style Guide. So far I've had no luck finagling this out of anybody.

Only people who produce merchandise / market LazyTown get it.

Unless Get Lazy opens a marketing branch I don't think they'll be kind enough to give us one, lol.

I know a girl who worked for Sony Product Marketing and was trying to get access to their copy through her but she quit before I had the chance. :(

A most difficult beast to find for free online. The closest I ever got was one of the workers on it having a few pictures of it.

        An unrelated link:
        http://www.unikeep.com/AboutUs/MediaKit ... ytown.html

        EDIT: Found it: http://www.jon-pall.com/page.asp?pageID=4

Once I find that link, I'll post it. I remember we were talking about it in the IRC channel a while back.

Oh, dag, your friend was so close to getting it!

I kick myself for not just inviting myself to lunch at her office and borrowing it for a bit.
          I'd give it back.....really.

While you getting temporary access with copy facilities would doubtless have been awesome for LT fans in general, stealing it, even just to copy and return, is more likely have got your friend in trouble than her borrowing it to copy would have. I wish you had got her to do it before she quit, though.

Yes you are very right. I would never REALLY have done such a thing, especially if it put a friend at risk. I just like to make evil plans.
However I do figure that it would have been easier to convince her to make some copies if I were hanging out in the office, that way she wouldn't have to risk getting caught trying to take any copies off site herself.

Oh well, I still have a couple of contacts in the industry. I'll keep digging.

Interesting patterns for Robbie. Reminds me of the UK DVDs...

I've been thinking about the ethical side of swiping the style guide. Would it be possible, if it had been released, that people would put up fake LazyTown products using the style guide?

Well, I doubt that anyone will want to make counterfeit LazyTown products - Dora is a much better target.

Also, if someone gets a hold of it and is worried about this, at least give me a copy. I'll keep it secret. I'll keep it safe.

nindan is also a known trustworthy user.

I find it interesting that they have all those lovely styles for Robbie products, but never actually use them! Sure, you might see him as an afterthought on a calendar or DVD cover, but it's all about Sportacus and Stephanie in MerchLand.

Also needs more fluffy orange chair.

I really like the Robbie patterns, and I feel a bit gipped that the samples given aren't big enough to recreate them (why does my favourite colour always get associated with the underappreciated villain?*sulk*).

As for the ethical implications, I'd say most fans are probably safe, we wouldn't do it for profit. For the sheer coolness of being able to make official-looking stuff that wouldn't ever be made officially, sure; e.g. something rather 'shippy or slashy, or even just clothing outside what those who make the official stuff think is the norm -- I remember a complaint that you can't get Stephanie on men's t-shirts, and as I understand it adults' clothing is generally hard to get hold of (and plus sizes for a show that is about living healthily? Heaven forbid). Since fans would only use it for 'good', and all LT comms that share pirated stuff are locked, I don't think the likely-hood of someone profiting from counterfeit products would be very much higher than it is now. Also, there are high-res pics available, and the actual products to copy off of, so generally the style guide would make counterfeiting easier, rather than possible.
