The only thing different I can find is the pitch being raised a half step. This effect is caused by the European broadcast, which is sped up by 4%, and may affect the audio as well sometimes.
I also noticed that the airings now on Cartoonito are all raised a half step in pitch! They previously weren't. Weird.
That's some weirdness created by taking a shortcut in a framerate discrepancy. I can't remember the exact figures, but if I recall correctly, the Brits required the show to be at a higher framerate than it was filmed in, so it was literally sped up to meet that rate.
The first time I heard that raised pitch was in 2008 with the LazyTown Extra episodes. Never thought about the fact that it could be caused because of the frame rate.
Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.
Bad news: it looks like the selection of LazyTown episodes on demand via Cartoonito have dissapeared. I will look out to see if they reappear in the future. Funny thing is, Virgin are still advertising LazyTown as one of their series box sets, but if you try to watch it, it redirects you to the closest episode coming up on Channel 5!
