    iTunes HD episodes Season 1

iTunes' 1080p content suffers from serious bitrate starvation, yes.

Some of their 1080p content is better. Animation always is.

Disney's shows in particular I have noticed a solid upgrade over their 720p counterparts.

They outsource to different companies for the encoding and some are more competent than others.

It's still better than DVD. I'm starting to wonder if they don't in fact have a pathological aversion to proper 1080p blu rays.

I've noticed that iTunes 1080p versions aren't much better than the 720p versions. They have a video bitrate around 5000 Kbps, which when used on a big picture like that tends to lose some of the detail. Line detail on animation is better, but faces in live-action stuff aren't as sharp as they should be.

This is a DVD, and a DVD is not HD.

    Bit rate : 4 227 Kbps
    Width : 960 pixels
    Height : 720 pixels
    Frame rate : 25.000 fps
Welp, these are going to be shitty.

They may have no channel bugs but a low resolution combined with bitrate starvation and a ****ed up framerate will make these vastly inferior to the 25 Mbit 1920x1080 NBC recordings. I forgot that Australia was PAL. Such a shame they butcher their content this way. We really need a Blu-ray release...

Can you see if these are available in 1080p as well? Most iTunes HD content has 1080p versions available.

If you require assistance I can help. I have ripped a lot of material from iTunes.

Anamorphic resolution. So it's not only compressed with mp4 but is anamorphic compression as well.
Still a step up from DVD I suppose. Probably looks like a youtube converted upload or slightly less.

2014 still waiting for full raster Episodes with no watermarks

Good luck with all the converting work pooks

I tested it on some of my M4V files and it works. You just have to be logged in to iTunes and add the files to your Library.

Hey everyone, I found a method that may help. You'll need software called Requiem and an old iTunes version (10.6). You'll find everything needed here:

    Code:
    http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7936056/Requiem_4.1___iTunes_10.6_-_Remove_DRM_from_itunes_DRM-Protected
If that fails after a bunch of tests, you may just have to resort to the conversion method. As an encoder, I don't prefer that. If you need any help, let me know. I'll be in IRC.

Wait, what's this? There are HD eps of LT around without watermarking or other crap?

Are you converting them to a non-DRM format for us Pooky?

That's not possible. I will try to convert them to a non-DRM format.
