Hit children's television show LazyTown is back, celebrating its tenth anniversary here in the UK with the announcement of a nationwide tour of a brand-new stage show. And the much-anticipated LazyTown Live on Stage tour is coming to the New Theatre Royal on the 4th June. Renowned telly programme LazyTown - which first aired here on national TV in 2005 - is a hit all over again with a brand-new generation of boys and girls. It can be seen currently on Channel 5, ilkshake, Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Presented by MEI International in association with GRT Entertainments, LazyTown Live on Stage offers youngsters the chance to enjoy an all-new adventure with Sportacus, Robbie Rotten, Stephanie and Ziggy from the TV series. Brand-new LazyTown Live On Stage brings its nationwide tour to the Royal Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday June 11 at 2pm and is on a mission to tackle Britain’s much-publicised obesity problem head on. LazyTown has a healthy and active life message of more exercise and less sugar to children through characters Stephanie and Sportacus as they rescue the townspeople from Robbie Rotten’s lazy schemes.

LazyTown first aired in the UK in 2005 and can be seen on Turner’s Boomerang and Cartoonito, as well as Channel 5’s Milkshake.

Brand new theatre show LazyTown Live On Stage launches its nationwide tour on Sunday 29th May and is on a mission to tackle Britain’s much-publicised obesity problem head on.
Show producer Nick Larkin says that with so much talk about obesity in the UK, news that Lazytown Live is returning to UK stages this summer makes it “right on topic”.
“The younger characters in LazyTown symbolise the challenges and opportunities that children face in daily life,” explained Nick. “For instance, Ziggy loves the sweet things but struggles to make healthy choices.”

LazyTown passes on a healthy lifestyle message through characters Stephanie and Sportacus as they rescue the townspeople from Robbie Rotten’s lazy schemes.
“The superheroes in LazyTown are good role models for our children,” said Nick. “They encourage a healthy lifestyle – more exercise, less sugar. “And with the Sugar Levy set to be introduced in April 2018, we plan to beat the Sugar Tax to the gate with an active-lifestyle, low-sugar message.”
