Well I'm glad I didn't follow your method because the instant you change the password you get locked out of the account because of the email migration thing they are doing. I tried it with my least important account, on my phone, and immediately lost the ability to receive emails. It's because of the thing they didn't say anywhere, that they were dropping POP support and you had to set up an IMAP account using new servers. They just said to use webmail which I hate. It was not easy to figure out how to set it up so I could access it again on my phone and PC. Still have to do it for my other accounts, used the first one to troubleshoot all the issues with doing it. And IMAP only keeps what is on the server so all my saved emails would be gone if I didn't do something first to save them. A real headache. Changing the password is what kicks it off so I was very cautious about doing that and rightly so. But I have to have it all done before Tuesday.

I use Thunderbird too for email and store the accounts info on a special location and make monthly backups. Usually I delete all emails that are 5 years old or older, just to keep it compact, and I don't need to worry because I have a backup. If I need to read the 5 year or older messages, I need to restore the backup information of course. I created a separate backup account for this, only able to scroll through the emails. I haven't found an easier way. A portable email-viewer would be nice.Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. I still haven't gotten around to setting up CopyWhiz to back up my local files like Thunderbird profiles to the external SSD. Maybe when this email situation is cleaned up.
I plan to migrate from my ISP's emails to iCloud also. Unfortunately the Apple Mail client on the iPhone is terrible, it changes From and To by itself, which is very frustrating. Hopefully once I am fully on iCloud and just have one mail account with several aliases it won't do this any more.l i t t l e

See that 25H2 feature pack that is available? I think people with that installed ran into a problem recently with an update. It enabled Bitlocker but didn't give them a password or a recovery key, so their disks were all locked off from them. encrypted with no key. For people with Bitlocker already it changed the password (!). Almost sounds like a malware more than an update.l i t t l e

Yes at work we just discovered OneDrive has been eating tens of thousands of files on a department drive. By the time it was noticed, it was more than six months since it started so there are no backups. I would never trust any of this cloud crap especially theirs.l i t t l e

That AI bubble can't burst fast enough. Nvidia and now AMD are talking about $5,000 video cards.
Most likely due to the costs of the ram chips that Ai companies are gobbling up.- Translate

This week I manually updated my Firefox browser because it doesn't do it automatically, I restrict FF to do that. I was using version 136 and updated to version 147.0.1, but when the browser started, I no longer had the title bar. I searched online, and it turned out to be a bug in v146 and v147.
https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/com..._disappearing/
A workaround was to press F11 and then press it again to make the title bar appear. After two days, I found that really annoying, so I downloaded an older version (v145) and installed it, but it couldn't handle the profile of the newer version - so the only option was to create a new profile. Then, all my settings and bookmarks were gone...

Fortunately, my v147 FF profile still existed, so I made a backup of it. I uninstalled v145 FF and installed v147.0.1 again.
I imported my settings and bookmarks from my backed up v147 FF profile, and everything works as it was, with a new version.
The title bar is still not there, because of the bug, but I found that when I uncheck the title bar option there is a close-the-window option now. I don't care for the title, but the buttons missing that's impossible to work with.Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown.
