Recounting my trip to the Bay Of Islands, New Zealand.

Hi everyone!

So tomorrow I'm finishing up my holiday in BOI, NZ and I'm heading back to Auckland to head to Napier to go home. So, I've decided since Eri is already doing a post on her travels, I'll do one of my days in the Bay Of Islands.

DAY 1 - Woke up at 5:00am and did nothing until 9. Mum and sister came home in a rush to get me ready and we headed out. Sister dropped us off and we left around 10:50am. This was actually the 1st time I've been on a plane in 5 years. We did pretty much nothing that day. Our cousins who lived in the area, took us around the area and showed us around.
DAY 2 & 3 - We pretty much did nothing these two days.
DAY 4 - My auntie and my mum took us all around some beaches around Northland. I actually fell asleep in the car and we got pie's and ice-cream on the way back. I had a chocolate trumpet (which is just like a cone of frozen ice-cream on the top with it all wrapped around b4 you open it) and my pie was a mince and cheese pie (pretty common pie in nz.)
DAY 5 - The only thing I remember on this day is that my mum took us out for a walk to the nearby beaches to pick up shells and go sightseeing.
DAY 6 - We went down to a local beach for a swim in some nice sea water. My mum refused to put her head down but we all got her to do it.
DAY 7 - Today, we went up to get subway, get ice-cream with unlimited toppings and we went around walking in a forest.

Also, a question:
How do you swim in New Zealand? Like isn't the water really cold? Do you need like multiple layers of wetsuit or something?

Nope, just put your head underwater and you'll be fine in 5 minutes.
Usually, we get some warm water that usually goes to Australia (hence why most people live near the coast there) but it does somewhat come down here as well.
