I talked about our annual Christmas calendar series we have here in Denmark in the other thread, but I wanted to show you one that topped the bunch. It's called 'The Elf's/Gnome's Island". It would take far too long to explain why it has anything to do with gnomes, so let me just say that we have a thing in Scandinavia called 'nisse', which comes around at Christmastime.
The series consisted of Nissebanden (The Nisse Gang), which stared in a couple of previous calendars too. They had been at Greenland before (the home of Santa Claus), and also one recorded in Denmark.
But this year, they decided to up the notch a bit, and record at a TOTALLY off-topic place - The U.S. Virgin Islands!
So the Christmas Calendar was shot three different places; Holme Olstrup (Denmark), Greenland, and USVI.
You would not for a second think that a Caribbean Island would have anything to do with Christmas, but that was pretty much the charm of this one. They made it work, and oh boy was it the best Christmas Calendar ever!
Don't bother listening to the Danish if you do not like it. Just look at the beautiful scenery
I fun thing to add, is that I actually too have been to The Danish West Indies (or USVI to you Americans). I have literally stood right on that fort you see in the video, and let me tell you one thing - it was even more surreal to be there in person. Maybe that's another reason why I'm so emotionally attached to the specific series. I remember watching all the episodes before we left, and then looking around for every shot scene when we arrived.

And another hit from Nissebanden. This time from their series in Greenland.
they remind me of latibaer..the old lazytown plays
Exactly. Because Sportacus is a "sports nisse". Nisse is, as I mentioned, an elf or gnome or what the heck you wanna call it. Widely popular in the Scandi area around Christmas as Santas little helpers.
Only difference between Magnรบs Scheving and Sรธren Pilmark is that one character is called Sportacus, and the other Fitnissen.
