    Steinn Ármann Magnússon has died

I saw on the Latibaer page that Steinn Ármann Magnússon has died. He played the role of Ziggy in the stage plays.

    Steinn Ármann Magnússon
    A word from Magnús Scheving:

Life is all sorts of things and I would have thought I was prepared for most of the surprises life throws at you, but no, you are never ready to deal with the sad news that a talented and good person has suddenly passed away.

I met Steini Ármann through Latabær when we worked together on the play Go Latibær in the Loftkastalan in 1996 and later in the National Theater. There he played the role of Siggi Sæti in a memorable way. Steinn was a great actor, one of the best I've ever worked with. He was a humorist by the grace of God and nurtured the talent in acting that cannot be taught. His genius was seen in all the projects he came close to and they were many. Steinn Ármann and I played together in over 400 Latabær shows and traveled all over the country and entertained in many places, me as the Sports Elf and him as Siggi Sæti.

The actor Steinn Ármann constantly surprised me. He had endless fun trying to get me out of character on stage. He had a unique way of reading the hall and poking such hilarious lines that the audience rolled around laughing and I was in great trouble not to do that as well. His radiance caught the attention of the audience and his humor made everyone laugh. He was nurtured with the unique quality that humor flowed naturally from his lips.

Steinn Ármann was smart, no one can have the grasp of such humor except to be well-gifted, fun and sensitive, he certainly was.

I've been looking for settling words suitable for an obituary about a man who died too young, but what best describes him is just how ****ing funny he was! Steinn Ármann was a pioneer in comedy in Iceland and if there is an Almighty God, he has undoubtedly called Stein to himself to enjoy his presence in heaven and to laugh a little. Even a whole lot of it.

Thank you for me and everything you have done for Latabær as well as the whole nation. Thank you for all your work that the nation remembers at this moment.
Steinn Ármann passed away too early it's incredibly painful to regret such a good boy. My deepest condolences to his family.
