Have you tried to reinstall your scanner's drivers?

I did nothing different to what I normally do, but I've apparently broke the scanner

I wonder what caused it to fracture like that.
Oh, it doesn't look right at all than. I think there is no way to fix it right, unfortunately. But at least we tried.

Now you see a bit of the other picture at the top. I don't know if the whole page of the other image was restored (I don't think it is though). The color doesn't look right either :(

One of the first things I tried actually, came up with
"Paint cannot read this file, This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported".

Well done to you for trying though.

About the invisible files, probably hidden in a hidden folder. Somehow there is a setting in windows explorer to view hidden folders. Extra --> options --> ..
Maybe you can still upload the JPG you can't open and we can try to repair them.
I tried uploading the invisible folder but it wouldn't let me, but I uploaded the 50% corrupted folder, good luck! LINK

I suck at technology and I feel like a failure when I have to ask for help, but I'll tell you what I told member Stingy.

I am currently looking at 2 folders, one of 29 jpegs, 13 of which haven't even got a thumbnail and say "windows photo viewer cant open this picture because either photo viewer doesnt support this file formet, or you dont have the latest updates to photo viewer." when I click on them, and

1 folder of invisible jpegs, when I click on the folder it says "This folder is empty", but under hard disk drives it says "626mb free of 963mb" so they're on there, just invisible. I've tried the CMB thing but nothing happened.

I've obviously scanned, cut & pasted over 100 times, so I've no idea why this is happening now.

The scanning went very fast GG, I couldn't keep up with you so I downloaded only 9 issues so far. I bet that counts for a lot of us, and for some the size of the files slows down the downloads. That could be an explanation why the download number is low of the latest issues. No worries, we are getting them one by one

I do understand how frustrating technology can be especially if your using it for personal use (not for work/school). And I know that you don't have to scan them which I am grateful that you have done.
