I don't have the upper-body strength to do that. I can barely manage pushups!
I have been working on my leg flexibility though, I've improved some and I might even be able to do a split someday soon.
Good luck! A friend of mine used to do the splits, but he stopped practicing it so now he can't anymore. It takes a lot of practice, so hang in there! My doctor says I shouldn't do the splits because I'm too heavy.

Well, I'll give you some advice. Do LOTS OF PUSHUPS. They help ALOT. Before I started my regular pushup schedule (like 3 sets of 25 reps of pushups at night, which is the only time i have for exercise) I could barely do a handstand -- It was waaay too hard. But after all that exercise (perhaps a month or so? or maybe it was a few weeks) my handstands became alot steadier, longer and... well -- better overall.
Keep it up with the pushups, don't stop! Do them everyday -- Even if it's only like 5 or so. I'm practicing static flexibility for the splits too -- Maybe someday I'll be able to do it.
I stopped doing pushups cause my elbows started to hurt, the tendons or whatever they're called, I was afraid of tearing them. I'm not even heavy at all, I must have REALLY weak arms.
Hah, I'm sure my arms would snap too. I can barely manage fifteen push-ups. :)
Anyway, since I first posted in this thread almost three years ago I haven't yet accomplished a split, or a handstand. But I have achieved some yoga poses I never thought I would and learned how to kick my legs pretty high!
yes I can I learnt some Sportacus'es tricks
I can stand on the hands but only for a 3-5 seconds without a wall
And on a 1 hand too
