They're made by real people like artists animators and writers. All of which have been negatively affected by generative AI, especially illustration and writing. I would prefer a cartoon over AI remakes or continuations. LazyTown itself as a show is full of life, so even with just that i don't think using soulless AI for it is good. I doubt they would anyway. It's an idea sure, but it's not really a good one if you actually think about it.

While they are just pixels, I feel like it matters because if AI was used to recreate her (or any character for that matter) perfectly there'd be an inherent lack of humanity and authenticity. The pixels still present something made by a real person. I also honestly think it would be pretty disturbing seeing an AI recreation of her, even if it's flawless and just like what we already have. AI pictures and videos of children bother me in general (because unrestricted technology like this has serious implications), just like AI stealing people's likeness for its generative trash that doesn't really benefit anyone in any meaningful way, y'know?

There are two episodes that always stuck with me.
"Be Right Back" and "San Junipero"
Luckily one is on youtube.
However, it's age restricted.
Be Right Back
This one details a women who's boyfriend passes away. At first, she was able
to recreate him using Ai. Via the computer or phone. Then she gets an offer to
step it up to the next level. An android with the boyfriend's recreated Ai.
The episode starts getting good at 28:55 with the introduction of the Android
that looks exactly like him.
I can envision that is where we are headed eventually.- Translate

It's an AI lookalike cosplaying as her. Somehow it just annoys me. I can hardly stand to look at it.
If someday AI could perfectly replicate her - to the point you couldn't tell the difference - I'm not sure how I would feel. On the one hand it wouldn't really be her, on the other hand does it matter? To me she's just pixels on a screen. Should it matter to me how those pixels were created if the result is the same?- Translate

It's an AI lookalike cosplaying as her. Somehow it just annoys me. It's stealing some of her features (her distinctive "palpebromalar goove" as I just learned it's called) while getting others completely wrong (her mouth). As irrational as it sounds it feels blasphemous. I can hardly stand to look at it.
I don't think that's irrational. It is blasphemous. I am surprised the Pope has not weighed in on this issue. In Frank Herbert's Dune universe, after the Butlerian Jihad, a war against AIs that finally put them down, the main commandment was "Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind" from the Orange Catholic Bible.
To me it's similar to making artificial humans in a petri plate. Some things should not be allowed because they degrade and defile what it means to be human.
If someday AI could perfectly replicate her - to the point you couldn't tell the difference - I'm not sure how I would feel. On the one hand it wouldn't really be her, on the other hand does it matter? It's not like I've met her. To me she's just pixels on a screen. Should it matter to me how those pixels were created if the result is the same?
This is a serious problem with AI. It is creating a post-truth society where there will be no way to know what is true, what is genuine. People laugh at it today because it makes mistakes. Once it stops making mistakes, it becomes incredibly scary.
I don't want every picture, every video, every piece of text leaving me with the question "Am I being lied to? Am I being fooled? Am I being manipulated?" It's bad enough today as it is.
Trump’s ‘make peace or die’ message to Putin is deepfake. Yet it fooled Russians
And it's dangerous.- Translate

understandable, but think carefully... with AI, there would be the possibility of a continuation without compromises—provided, of course, that all characters and figures are perfectly recreated by AI...we all know that no one can ever replace Stefan Karl or JRM... except maybe this guy (>_<)
