Why what? Why not apply? Because AI is going to destroy the CGI industry, it will be pointless to take in new people. Ai may even destroy the movie and TV industry. Who needs actors, sets, special effects etc when an AI can just make it all from scratch? You will be watching purely AI shows and movies soon, just wait. The only thing that could stop it is people refusing to watch them - if they are even told about it. There may be fake AI "actors".
Easy Way shares my view of AI

This seems relevant.
Apparently they're planning to remake John Woo's "A Better Tomorrow", Woo Ping Yuen's "Drunken Master" & Bruce Lee's "Way of Dragon" with AI.

Wasn't sure if I should put this in here or the Blogs and Story thread.
I'll put it here first. I posted her vids before. The one about Tolkien and Lovecraft.
Also, ugh she's face revealing. I don't like when they do that because I already
painted a picture of what they look like in my head with her avatar.
What Would Tolkien Think of AI?

I'm having an issue with my old fridge and my last defrost only seemed to make it worse, so I went to search for help online. I intentionally resolved to not use AI and search for what I needed "the old fashioned way," but nevertheless the first article I clicked on from iFixit was clearly written by AI. The author is supposedly an editor at iFixit, but even "his" bio (structured as almost entirely bullet points) is clearly written by a LLM.
There were no disclosures that the author is a LLM. I could only tell because it has obvious tells of Chat-GPT's writing style. This could easily be obfuscated if the prompter asked for it to be rewritten in a different style, so it shows how extraordinarily little effort is being put into the quality of these articles. The information in the article itself is good, but why pretend it's written by a human? I guess you don't want to make it too obvious that your site is just a collection of Chat-GPT prompt results that anyone could generate themselves. I can't imagine sites like this surviving much longer.- Translate

if you want an article that isn't AI, you'd have to read a magazine. I read a comparison between Corel VideoStudio and Magix Movie Edit Pro once and the final verdict was decided by, oh would you believe it, AI.
Also it's getting more and more obvious to tell (in text) what isn't AI and what is. Mainly because my class had an assignment to make a video (I took this route) or a poster or an essay about someone that inspires them. And most people used AI to forge their essays. But they made it too obvious. mainly because they sounded too advanced to be written by 5th graders or because they were in fonts that nobody uses. Or they didn't try the best technique - "make it sound more human".- Translate
