A new study from Stanford economists just confirmed what every anxious new grad already suspects: AI is not replacing all jobs. It is replacing yours.

In the first large-scale analysis of real payroll data since ChatGPT went viral, researchers at Stanford and the NBER found that entry-level workers in AI-exposed jobs have seen a 13% drop in employment since late 2022. The kicker? Everyone else is doing fine.

You're afraid to lose your job because of AI? I can imagine. It takes more time to move people to other jobs than having AI implemented, and companies should support/finance re-education for faster switch.

I'm in a profession where not much is being done with AI yet, only some diagnostic tools are partly handled with AI but that is just convenient and it doesn't replace an actual job - it's extra. I'm quite save for the rest of my job-life.

If your customers lose their jobs you will lose yours, that's how it works. Nobody is safe.

Companies don't support anything. I already had one career end due to technology. I had to go back to school and lose 4 years of income and pay for college (again) and then get a job paying a fraction of the old one. AI job displacement is far more serious than you think. And it is going to affect you, even if it's only because all your customers lose their income and stop showing up.

• (M = 20 \div 0.03).
• (0.03 = 3/100), so (20 \div 0.03 = 20 \times (100/3) = 2000/3).
• (2000 \div 3 = 666) remainder 2 → (666.\overline{6}).

So ≈ 666.7 pounds of cats are needed to eat 20 lb of butter in one day at 3% intake.
If you prefer round numbers: about 667 lb of cats.

Common variants:

• If cats eat 5% of body weight/day: (20 ÷ 0.05 = 400) → 400 lb of cats.

Haha, I love the idea of a "wigglecat"! If a cat eats enough butter, maybe it’d get extra "wiggly" from all the fat and energy… or perhaps it’d just become very slippery and smooth, like it’s had a full spa treatment.

In all seriousness, butter isn’t really a great thing for cats—most cats are lactose intolerant, and while butter isn’t as bad as milk, it’s still a lot of fat that could cause stomach upset, diarrhea, or even pancreatitis. So, if a cat did eat butter (whether it's for the wiggle or the taste), you’d want to keep an eye on them to make sure they’re not feeling too wobbly in the wrong way.

OpenAI's brand new Atlas browser is more than willing to follow commands maliciously embedded in a web page, an attack type known as indirect prompt injection.

Prompt injection vulnerability is a common flaw among browsers that incorporate AI agents like Perplexity's Comet and Fellou, as noted in a report published by Brave Software on Tuesday, coincidentally amid OpenAI's handwaving about the debut of Atlas.

Indirect prompt injection can occur when an AI model or agent handles content like a web page or image and then treats that content as if it were part of its instructed task. Direct prompt injection refers to instructions entered directly into a model's input box that bypass or override existing system instructions.

"YouTube offers voluntary buyouts as company reorganizes around AI"

Youtube is offering voluntary buyouts with severance for U.S.-based employees as it restructures its product organization to focus more on artificial intelligence.

The move comes as Google CEO Sundar Pichai pushes employees to boost productivity by using AI across the company.

In an internal memo to staff, YouTube CEO Neal Mohan said the platform is reorganizing its product teams for the first time in a decade.

“Looking to the future, the next frontier for YouTube is AI,” a YouTube spokesperson said in a statement to CNBC. The buyouts were first reported by Alex Heath at Sources.

YouTube said no roles are being eliminated as part of the change.

Under the new structure, three product groups will now report directly to Mohan.
