I've surpassed the ancient ways. I mostly use in AE the rotobrush and pen tools now. Not as tedious as the photoshop erase tool and one can correct errors much easier.

Thanks. It was a lot more epic before I had to strip lots of it down to fit ytmnd size requirements and actual gif technical limitations.
Not really thrilled with what I ended up uploading but there ya have it.

Yah that's an option, however, most of my YTMND concepts would not translate well into a video and vice versa. Each idea I concoct is designed for a particular medium most of the time.
