I remember I saw a colored version of that. Why did you make it b/w?

The background with Steph and Dogmeat was done in Sepia.

I thought the Black and White for the whole composite looked really nice and gave it that old timey nuclear look.

I did use the Camera Steph in color for another YTMND though.

LazyPooky Thanks. I figured at the time I posted and since the YTMND site has all that info already, it would be redundant to
        mirror it in the post.

I understand that. But only to give credit to lazytown4 doesn't do justice to the others.

An old site of mine from 2008. Thought I made it much later than that date.

A well written video essay on the Moon Man fad. Mentions YTMND around 18 minutes in. Not an essential watch, but if you're bored:

One of BoredJedi's YTMNDs which caused me to rewatch the above video: https://firstgirlonmoonman.ytmnd.com/ (I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last two days)

Unfortunately Moon Man is the most beloved meme of the Lazytown haters on YTMND, and I will always associate it with them. Some of them are still hanging out there to this day, downvoting any LT YTMND and insulting anyone posting one.

It's why I got demotivated and deleted my account, hours of work and idea brainstorming just to be flushed down into the toilet.

                      Curse you DarthWang.
It was such a different time back then with a vibrant user base that
overcame the DarthWang few. When Imgur first popped up, that was a fun too.
Rather put a few torpedoes into the YTMND user base. With a lot of them going there.
The downvoting was rampant on that site too. But some of us were smart. We weaponized
the downvoting right back at them. We made it our goal to make the most downvoted sites ever.
You weren't a cool person if you had a high count green up-arrow site. No no no that won't do. All the cool people were
making high count red down-arrow sites. That was a hilarious time. That is until the site owners stepped in and changed it all.

An early imgur gif I made when the original red arrow issue began.
Oh yeah forgot to explain the significance of getting high count green arrows.
Rather the same as with YTMND. Get a certain number of green arrows and your
image will be previewed on the front page. You won't be considered just a
                        ordinary usersub pleb anymore.

When we decided to all downvote, there were those who just couldn't do it.
They had to be on the frontpage at any cost. Boy did those few get upset.
                        My image response to them.

The whole concept of everyone being on board with downvoting was
to get the site owner(s) to stop the downvoting abuse going on. I
forget offhand who the owner or co-owners were. They were
horrible in the beginning and did nothing. One of the major issues were users
                        downvoting their potential frontpage competitors.

Anyway, a little early Imgur history. After a while, the site just became a dumpster fire mostly
from the decisions of the site owner(s) as time went on.

These stories are nostalgic. They speak to a time when users had a much larger influence on each other as opposed to an algorithm. Of course there's still some negativity, like being maliciously down-voted, but also positivity, like the sense of community from gathering a mob to all down-vote together. I would much rather have direct interaction than get fed the "best" content by an algorithm. It feels more human. I'm old enough that I should have been participating way back then, but I didn't use the internet much until I got a job and moved out and had a lot of time on my hands. By then the internet was already well into it's "enshittification" phase (although still much more vibrant than today).

I'm thankful for webforums like this one! A place where everyone has an equal voice, and where everyone can parse for themselves what is interesting.
