      Re: Music Background vocals

While some of us experienced audio manipulators already know, this is mainly aimed at those new around here to the audio field. None of these techniques will ever completely remove the main vocals and not without any degradation of the entire audio track. That's just a simple law of everyday two channel wave physics since other sound sources share the human vocal range frequencies whether fully or just overlapping. Even in Catbooks Galaxy song audio you can still vaguely hear the main vocals. Think of it as trying to unbake a cake. Not that I'm dissing anything it's just the facts of life with limited channels. Which reminds me nice work Catbooks on the audio clips. Heck, even in 5.1 audio the center channel is polluted somewhats with other audio sources. Example......

Darth Vader "Impressive" from Empire Strikes Back center channel extract
      https://mega.nz/#!ZEUkxI7D!aOes2rnnO...dPh9kEXIdgZp4k

Darth Vader "The circle is now complete" from New Hope center channel extract
      https://mega.nz/#!QV1XnYoQ!JDkXrYrOv...M_uueYuJWysWL4

I used these in my latest ytmnd site and it's a way better result than trying to isolate Vader's vocals from a 2 channel source even though in 5.1 Vader's voice is still slightly spread
out onto the other channels to give his voice more character and depth as with the other audio sources that are sharing the center channel. Lazytown's 5.1 audio for the
episodes is even more polluted and less isolated from other audio sources which is a shame. Unless we have the actual individual pre-mixed tracks, it's the best we are going to do for
our audio manipulations. It's like the audio version of green screen for the visuals wish list. :)

Also Pooky, I've noticed that as well. There's something off with the Instrumental tracks and the actual tracks. Could be various explanations such as pitch difference or timing difference.

I was playing with the Center Channel Extractor settings in Adobe Audition and found out that in the Bing Bang Christmas Version the background vocals are used which can be heard very well in the Bing Bang Time To Dance Single Mix. I was surprised by that because I didn't know it came from the LazyTown Studios, I thought it was made as an extra for the remix in some UK studio.

Bing Bang (Time to Dance) doesn't have an official instrumental, does it? It would be so awesome if it did.

We had that conversation a few years ago and some of us would take action to contact the maker. Turns out no one did that I guess or there was no contact possible. Anyway, we don't have it..yet.

I did haha. I contacted one of the producers, Mike Stevens over facebook on 10/07/2015. The message was not seen. I also contacted another one of the producers, Steve Crosby via email at [email protected], found on his website, http://slahit.com/Sounds_Like_A_hit/Home.html. I contacted him on 06/21/2016 and have not received a response.

I just sent Mike another message, but am not expecting it to be seen. I found Steve's twitter at https://twitter.com/soundslikeahit, which seems to be active. I sent him a tweet. He also has a facebook at https://www.facebook.com/crosbysteve?ref=br_rs, and I can try him there if I get crickets from twitter. Can also try Mike's twitter: https://twitter.com/saxes1?lang=en

                      An update on this..

Nothing from my latest contact requests.

I checked further into Gut Records, who produced the CD, and found that it was purchased by Phoenix Music International. I checked the Wayback Machine for their old site, www.gutrecords.com, and found the contact address [email protected]. Unsurprisingly, this mailbox is no longer reachable. There are no news postings anywhere on the site that I could find about the release of the CD for additional information, and could not find any other information such as alternate contact methods or names.

I checked Phoenix Music International's site at http://www.phoenixmusicinternational.com/ContactUs, but the page's Contact tool is broken and cannot be used. I found a possible address for them, [email protected], here: https://www.discogs.com/label/7319-Gut-Records, but that address is no longer valid. Maybe if there is a Londoner who wouldn't mind showing up on their doorstep :)

I've messaged Steve Crosby over facebook and tweeted Mike Stevens as well.

Another update - I was able to get in contact with Mike Stevens, who I believe was the primary producer of the song. As said before, I reached out to him on twitter, and he was brave enough to give me his direct email address. I sent him an email just a bit ago explaining the situation and asking if it would be possible to get an instrumental. So maybe there's some hope?

Found something weird.. There are 2 versions of Boogie Woogie Boo Backing Vocals? Or is this just an early version of the song..? It sounds the same until you get to the part after the Break it Down segment. Listen for yourself:

It has sfx from the US audio..? A few scenes were moved aswell.. Break it down part was removed (but it was most likely cut out by the uploader)
