Maggi about WANO: "LazyTown have become a little bit like a cult"...
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/U69GA15tAC4Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc. -
He is 7 years too late with his response. The WANO meme happened on YouTube and a bit on Reddit, Tumblr, facebook, this forum etc. in 2016/2017. TikTok wasn't even there yet.. Seems like Magnús doesn't understand anything about the meme society and the LazyTown fans. Is there no one who can inform him about something that happened in those communities or is he just not interested? Sometimes I wonder.
Still it's never too late. People are still making meme's from cult classics
like Blade Runner and Back to the Future etc.... To name just a tiny few.Comment

LazyTown has had a cult following from the beginning as many of the members here can attest to.
I don't think reposting a meme is the same thing as being a fan, but I don't blame a 60 year old guy who probably doesn't spend much time on the internet for being out of touch with meme culture.Comment

He's sixty years old, cut him some slack.
You guys think of weird religions when you hear the word 'cult', don't you?

But WANO? I don't think so. It doesn't make sense to call it as having a cult following. It was more like a viral meme and didn't have a distinct following, just memers and LazyTownersComment

Well, I'm fine living with Jesus.
But yes, Magnus is confusing the meme bandwagon riders with the true LazyTown fans.Comment
