The whole LazyTown series is a mean joke to diabetics: "Pretty cake", "sports candy" and "sugar meltdown", haw haw.

Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.

And the diabetes video isn't maing fun of diabetes. It's making fun of Wilford Brimley's accent. "Di-Uh-Beet-Us" haha...
But it is ironic that they used Cooking by the Book. Whether it was intended or not.
