Re: We Are Number One meme (remix/remakes)

Re: We Are Number One meme (remix/remakes)
YTP is a very specific, and largely extinct, cross-section of memery. Elements popularized by YTP influence today's 'meme videos' (like "ear rape"), but they're fundamentally distinct from the more purpose-driven videos associated with LazyTown. The MrMangoHead method, for example, might come off as cacophony, but the titles and description detail specific changes made. Unlike YTP, there is purposeful intent--it just may not always show in the final product.
There is some LazyTown YTP, but it's downvoted to hell and generally not reposted, because it's a dead medium.- Translate

We Are Number One meme (remix/remakes)
I kinda agree with you, this meme has been going for a while now...
The song was great though. I always love when artists pitch the vocals to make them unique instruments! :)- Translate

We Are Number One meme (remix/remakes)
Okay I wasn't very clear. The internet meme is actually the We Are Number One music video. What people make of it by editing this piece of video into something absurd is what we called youtube poop or YTP.- Translate

We Are Number One meme (remix/remakes)
A meme is a cultural concept. Youtube poop videos are a very specific sort of production--it doesn't apply to the majority of WANO edits, and it's not a catch-all for 'funny youtube video'.
It's nothing new, but it is a decade-old. It's not a relevant term.
Ultimately though, why was the addition necessary?- Translate
