Tales of the Strange and Freaky

This thread is for posting your weird and scary stories, the kind that's too strange to make up! Real life, the internet, a bathroom stall, the dark woods, malfunctioning machinery, a misshapen toilet paper roll, all of those creepy little experiences in life.

I'll start with an experience I just had today. I was on a vBulletin forum, when suddenly I clicked a page and the threads didn't show up. They reappeared when I moused over them, though, but they were all outside of the tables where they were supposed to be. I backpedaled out of there to the index page, and all the descriptions of each forum appeared in Wingdings font, making them illegible. Everything's normal at GL though.

I'm seriously freaking out here. Could it be a virus?

Today I was looking for my PSP folder. I couldn't find it anywhere.

That folder was important. It was 20 GB of custom firmwares, my favourite homebrews, PSP encoded videos, and PS1 isos for usage on the PSP.

Finally I located it in my Video Editing directory.

How the **** did it get there?

Today, I booted up in XP and named the C drive. Then I couldn't boot up into Mac OS X. So then I unnamed the C drive and everything worked. After 5 minutes of thinking ZOMG ALL MY LAZYTOWN VIDS AND MUSIC ARE GONE!!!!!

I had this awesome swordnaming ritual the other week, Then I was in bed and every time I closed my eyes..I saw HELLFIRE AND DAMNATION...took me about 3 hours to get to sleep :(

My old Biology teacher once told an interesting story about a black widow and some other big bug that eats spiders. Him and his friends collected them and placed them in one of those 3 gallon water bottles. Nothing happened. They just kept watching each other with the other bug taking small swipes at the spider every now and again while the black widow stayed near the top. A few hours later, the black widow points it's rear towards the bug and shoots a web ball! It immobilized the bug long enough for the black widow to inject its venom into the trapped bug.

I never did find out if this was true. Can black widows actually shoot web balls?
