I just achieved my highest Buzz Lightyear score to date at Disneyland:



Yeah, so it's not spectacular but It's tough navigating through space and blasting aliens when you got no spacesuit.

I absolutely sucked at the similar ride in Walt Disney World. I hear the California version's blasters are more mobile, making it easier or something?

All I know is that on our blasters, whoever got the left hand side (we were all right handed) was at a huge disadvantage. And my friends cheated and looked up exactly which targets had the huge bonuses.

I love this ride though. I ran through it a couple of times at the Pirate and Princess party with absolutely no line. We were honorary space pirates for the night.

If I remember correctly, the Disneyworld blasters are bolted to the cab, is that right? The Disneyland ones are just pistols attached with cables so you have full mobility. When I'm riding alone I'll have a blaster in each hand. yeah I'm probably opening myself to some jokes with that comment

That's right. Our blasters tilt up and down and side to side a little bit, but you can't really move them so you're screwed if you have a horrid steerer.

Of course, my friends had me on the left-handed side AND steering, so that was no help. Obviously the lesson here is for me to learn how to be ambidextrous, or cheat.

That little girl isn't much with a blaster but she can flash those baby blues at you then take you out at the knees before you know what hit you. I'll keep her as my co-pilot.

I live about two hours away. Currently I am holed up in the Grand Californian hotel for a few days here with the kiddos. My nephew's 5th birthday is on the 31st so we figured a Halloween themed Disneyland was just the ticket to celebrate.

I live about two hours away. Currently I am holed up in the Grand Californian hotel for a few days here with the kiddos. My nephew's 5th birthday is on the 31st so we figured a Halloween themed Disneyland was just the ticket to celebrate.

Oh nice, I've never been to Disneyland, i've been to DisneyWorld thought, i wasn't too big of a fan lol

I've always been a big Disney fan. Never have been to Disneyworld though. Someday I will have to make that trip.
