-I always manage to lose my glasses/calculator/anything that isn't hooked to me by a chain
-I frequently take sarcastic comments at face value
-I'll often tell a story back to the person who originally told it to me
-I tend to get facts backwards
-I circle A on the multiple choice tests when it's a trick question (they usually make A answers likely but wrong to trick you)
-I'll frequently make typos with homonyms
Oh, never mind. It would take me several days to list all the dumb things I do. But wouldn't life be boring if everyone always did the correct and predictable thing all the time?
I left my (brother's) MP3 player at the library last week. It was handed in to the front desk, so I got it back, but I didn't even realise it was missing until I went to pack for a family thing out of town on Sunday and couldn't find it. What's especially dumb about that is that a month ago I lost my wallet for the same reason: accidentally left it out of my backpack when I repacked it to make stuff fit.
I overslept my dentist appointment today. It was at 12:40.
Do I win?
If you were really late to bed, possibly. However, if you retired at an hour reasonable enough for you to get your 8-10 hours and be up in time, I presume you just really needed the sleep last night, in which case it's only stupid if you'd been voluntarily depriving yourself of sleep, which is quite stupid enough in itself without involving dentists.
