Thanksgiving holiday

Well, I'm going to do Thanksgiving with my old neighborhood. Everyone, and that includes the crackheads and drug dealers, gather at the biggest church in our neighborhood where we all have a big meal. It's pretty cool, because most of the churches in the neighborhood get together for that day to help. I also get to play with the band that day, so that'll be fun.

The day after, we'll be getting ready for the Christmas carnival on Dec 1st. We have a carnival in the ghetto for all the kids! It's really fun, especially when we rent the horses and take kids on horse rides around the neighborhood! It's great.

As far as my family... we might do something *shrugs*

Canucks have Thanksgiving during the first week of October. I was so broke, I only could afford whole chickens and not turkey. (HAM GTFO)

I recall Easter when I went all out and made a full course dinner and no one ate it. Man that sucked. All that planning and effort...well, not for nothing. At least I lived off the leftovers during the days after.

My family does not do anything special, we just eat the big turkey meal and my dad watches football.

Eh... I'll hop on board.

I'm thankful for a roof over my head, shoes on my feet, a job that I don't have to worry about, a nice bed to sleep in after work, a good blanket to keep me warm, food to keep me full and people that brighten my day.
