Conclusion: Competing in games is tragic. In the end of the day, I'm not an ounce happier by having spent more than two hundred days accumulating virtual wealth and experience for these characters. I haven't found any use of them since I stopped playing and I consider it likely that I never will.

Agreed, I played RuneScape for a while and quit because it got boring, just recently found out they are adding a bunch of new updates to give the game a lame communist economy :( .
