its common knowledge CJ. Although ps2 had superior hardware, it was so hard to develope for that most games came out pixelated and jittery. Nintendo as always, cared as much about user friendly hardware for their customers as they did for their developers.

The Gamecube has a faster processor and a stronger GPU than the PS2.

There's also a GameCube version of Twilight Princess, but that might be hard to find with how hard they were pushing the Wii version.

As for Pokémon XD, I was forced to play through some battles with my cousins, and I enjoyed the Game Boy Pokémon games more, to be honest. Basically the setup's like this:
Instead of exploring and catching wild Pokémon, you use hacked Pokéballs to steal them from the bad guys. You then have to spend a few hours traveling with it and using items on it to 'purify' its heart, because if you don't do that the Pokémon is stuck with sucky shadow moves, a chance of going into beserk mode every turn, and it can't gain experience or level up. It's really time consuming and annoying.
The world's also a lot smaller than the settings of the Game Boy games, and the non-stop trainer battles can get annoying. Well, at least you're not running into wild ones every two steps. (damn Zubats, I hate you forever)

The rest of those games I agree are awesome though.

I beat misty using only a level 16 Oddish in Pokémon yellow.

Because it isn't resistant to water damage and her starmie is level 22, so it one hits anything non-resistant with that level difference.
