If you don't count Zelda 2 or the Phillips 3DO games it is the most consistent series.

Adventure of Link was good.
As for the CDi... not so much.

But 3 crap games on a system that pretty much proved itself completely incapable of supporting any decent games versus 14 great games (okay, 12 great and a couple good) over a 20+ year span makes it the most consistent in my book.
I haven't seen any other series with that kind of track record.

And Zelda 2 was a different type of game, thats what i meant by that.
