anybody know how to merge an offline account into an xbox live account or at least so i can use my saves, lie on live account got no caws for sd vs raw which sucs, theres a tutorial but i dont understand it, is there an idiot free way lol


tried recover gamertag on the account i wanna use, but it asks for phone, card etc but i never put that in on my offline account


OR if i can transfer my saved stuff and settings to online account?


set it up today but then i find no caws on sd vs raw, fifa is back to default, so not really good at the momment, although live is aweosme, saints row is good, but halo 3 kicks ass live lol

Hey! So you were able to connect to the internet, I've been wondering what happened during your Xbox adventures.

It looks like a rename and change method, almost like a hack. They probably want your phone and card because you're paying for Gold membership, so they probably just want to verify it's you.

Q: I created an offline profile on my Xbox 360 system and played a bunch of games. I also created a gamer card on Xbox.com to reserve my gamertag until I'm ready to join Xbox Live. Now that I'm ready to join, how do I merge these two profiles?

A: You can do this, but be very careful—it's possible to do it in a way that wipes out all the games and achievements you've associated with your offline profile, and you probably don't want to do that!

If you've created an offline profile on your console and want to keep it, and you've also created a profile at Xbox.com, you essentially have two separate profiles, one on your console and one on Xbox Live. To get your offline profile online with the same gamertag, with all your achievements intact, you have to get rid of your placeholder Xbox Live profile and supplant it with your offline profile.

The tools for doing this are all on your Xbox 360 console; you just have to do some shuffling around to make it work.

To walk through the procedure step by step, see Merge an Offline Gamer Profile with an Xbox Live Gamer Card.

Note
This procedure does not apply to anyone who is already a member of Xbox Live when they first use Xbox 360. It is only for Xbox 360 users who build up achievements in offline play and who create a gamer card at Xbox.com before joining Xbox Live.

So I guess it depends on what you did. I read that you can upgrade an offline account, but I haven't looked that up yet. If you made an offline account and reserved a gamertag at Xbox.com, then you have to do that rename and change method above. Good luck, Stevo! I hope it all works out.

well im sorted now, was just a rename and sign up again process, so now i AM on xbox live w00t


my new gamertag though Stevilinho

i bought the wireless adapter to help stop all this annoyingness with my laptop but i cannot seem to get it to work, it connects with my wifi then it just says it cannot conect for some reason

anybody know a idiot proof way of seting this up?

Buy a PS3.

It comes with wireless. No adapters or proprietary hardware to buy. It does standard 802.11g wireless built-in, and you can use any old bluetooth or USB headset, it doesn't have to be a special one like for your silly Box

restarting the router is unplugging the power cable to the router.

anybody know if you HAVE to have wireless security to conenct, currently we dont so that means no code has to be put in to access it, and it does match up with the 360 so there shouldnt be any problems, was wondering as all sites always say like wap or wep for instance


could that be the reason it cannot connect

You probably don't, but you should because someone might be able to use your router. If you have your router model name and stuff, maybe you can Google it and see what it says about the Xbox 360.
