Hell, I'm going to look into owning my own cow and a garden and make my own stuff. It'll be cheaper in then end. :)

Whatchya talkin about willis? All the pizza places I go to were around $1.75 - $2.00. Only until recently have they've gone up mostly due to cutting out the milk farm subsidies. That was the first excuse. Oh, let the competition determine the price which was a joke. You go into any supermarket and all they usually carry is one brand only. What competition. The most I was seeing was downtown $2.25 a slice.

No slice is worth $4. I don't care if they sprinkle it with gold.

Oh with toppings that's different. They usually charge about a $1 for each topping. I was mainly talking about pizza straight up. I'm a pizza purist and believe pizza should be eaten the way pizza was intended: Cheese, sauce and dough nothing more. :)

            How much does Starbucks cost?

Anyway, my school charges $5 for 1 slice of cheese or pepperoni and a water bottle. Hmm...

And my pizza joint runs under $2 for a good-sized slice of pepperoni.

i agree with you on that... but, i'd feel pretty weird bringing a whole pizza into the movies.
                  Pizza is food, not snacks.

Then again, all of our pizza joints are run by Iraquis so whaddo we know?

Blame the hysteria over global warming. Thanks to the rush to grow that corn for ethanol fuel for cars but as we all know that doesn't seem to be the answer either when it comes to pollution. However, now that the price of oil is skyrocketing well you get the point. People were warned about this some time ago about the shortage of certain products because of this ethanol business.

""Fifty-nine-percent of everything we raised in 2007 is leaving the U.S.," said Victor. "That's 9-10% greater than normal." As a result, Victor said, U.S. wheat supplies are at their lowest level since the end of World War II, another factor pushing prices skyward."
