I think it's cool, but then again I am a digital pack rat who likes to archive everything, regardless of usefulness.

It's not like this will require extensive resources. Archiving all of Twitter will take what, one 2 TB hard drive that can be had for $100 at the most?

A bunch of plain text 140 character messages doesn't take up shit.

-fag's just another web culture thing, though. Not one I use, but...yeah. Clearly I've been reading too much ED.

Anyway, I'm more amused by the future cultural study aspect of this than anything else. Someday, college students will be taking a course titled 'Internet Culture of the Early 21st Century' and there will be an exam and a half worth of material on 4chan.
