Seemingly every story on piracy or counterfeiting throws out figures of how such practices cost businesses XXX amount of dollars per year. For those who may have questioned the legitimacy of such figures, the results of a new government report validate taking such a “Doubting Thomas” approach.

Heh, the logical fallacy commited was False Attribution since they were citing non-existent or made up sources. :)

That being said, I don't care about them companies, but piracy should be kept to a minimum since piracy depends on the legit folks buying stuff. At least that's how I imagine, I'd have to do different models just to have proof. That's currently beyond my knowledge or skill, but I have an idea on how it can be done. :)
