    Lazytown Upgraded

In case some of you have been wondering where I've been. I've upgraded my computer and been busy playing around with it and reinstalling stuff to get back up to par.

The guts are AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black (4 core cpu)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103808

    ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131366

    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB memory
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231277

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835186134

I listed the links for the parts in case yas wanted to see the specs. I'm pretty much all cracked out and the speed of this thing is like I've never seen before. I'm almost all ready to get really serious with my visual stuffs now.

I'm also using windows 7 64 bit. Pretty sweet so far. I found this little trick for adding video as your background.

    http://anonym.to/?http://windows7center ... windows-7/

Of course you all know what was the first thing I added to my background. An unfinished video remix :)

I also took a quick video of the screen with my crappy camera since I haven't installed my viddy capture stuff yet

I am so loving Windows 7 right now (cept for a few things that have irked me but which have nothing to do really with the overall OS)

You think that was a crash? That's called the government moving in on your ass.

Damn that sucks. I also got an extra 640 gig Hard drive this time and dumped my entire old system everything on it. Got about 200 gigs left. There was no way I was going to burn all that crap up. The drive is only for backups. I will burn only the important stuff from it when I get around to it.

I keep multiple backups on various media just for the exact reason of what happened to you. Again sorry for all that loss I know how it feels.

As for the 3d performance that's what I'm counting on I gave it a test run and damn shwoosh done. It'll also speed the heck up on the video encodes as well.

So far the best feature I like is adding videos as the background seeing a lazytown video there is trippy as hell.

Bad karma, you should post something in the 'sorry' topic like I did, maybe you got your karma back.

Danka. I spent a while researching and trying to get every bang for as little bucks as I could. BTW the case is an antec 900 which I got two years ago the same with the power supply but OCZ 700 watts. Nothing has failed me yet haven't had to replace one fan yet.

This is not my build but the case is and looks exactly the same.

The way you've got all those cables and shit packed in that tiny little case, no wonder you're always having computer trouble. :hurr:

That computer is a disaster when it comes to safe, cool, functional design.

Lol a guy I know once took away the 2 walls on the left and right of the case, for better ventilation...and one time, when he was drunk, he stuck a pencil in there and ****ed up the ventilator.

I like the blue lights, actually I like a kinds of color lights. Sometimes I turn down the lights in my room I put on all my equipment just to watch the different color lights... but that's another story

Nope not me. You must be thinking of someone else. Don't be fooled by the way the cables look. Unless I build a brick wall in that case ain't nothing can stop that kind of airflow in that case. Besides I take it apart from time to time to really clean it out of dust and having those cable tied off and out of the way looking all proper like just won't cut it.

Right now I'm getting 28c on the cpu and 30c on the chipset.

As for the computer trouble you are probably thinking of the wifi. Yes the wifi device is old and has issues but that's an external issue. The previous rig has lasted 2 years. I only had issues with badly written programs or OS stuff not with the temps.

It's the ATI 3870 x2 (2 gpus on one board in crossfire) Sure it's a two year old card but it plays everything I throw at it either at med or high settings in game. I have Borderland installed on this new rig with that viddy card. The game set to max and it runs fine. I'm waiting for the dust to settle before upgrading the video card I can hang on a lot longer.
