Huge Asteroid to Fly Safely By Earth Monday: Watch It Live

The online skyatching website Slooh will host a live webcast about the flyby of near-Earth asteroid 2000 EM26 on Monday (Feb. 17) beginning at 9 p.m. EST (0200 Feb. 18 GMT). The huge asteroid (which is the size of three football fields) will pass at a safe 8.8 lunar distances from the Earth during its closest approach

Well this was not entirely a bust. We did learn tonight that the Canary islands can get snow storms :)

    Snow surprise for Canaries
The unusual weather patterns that have plagued the Canaries in recent months returned again at the week-end with conditions and temperatures more in keeping with northern European countries than the sunshine islands.

Marooning the observatory personnel as well. The Spanish Military offered assistance in evacuating the observatory personnel.

Needless to say they couldn't use this, their main observatory, so they had to rely on partners.

Don't remember the source of this one

Though towards the end of the broadcast the stuff from their dubai partners came through.
    Not really worth the wait

So kids the lesson for tonight is not Earth destroying asteroids but if you ever take a trip
to the Tropical Paradise of the Canary Islands, make sure you pack some snow shoes.

Magnús: - I have fans of all ages and I don't think it's weird when older people like LazyTown. LazyTown appeals to people for many different reasons: dancing, acrobatics, etc.
