    National Vocabulary Championships

    i love GSN (game show network). so tonight i was watching the National Vocab Championships. I LOVED it! all the guys look like such nerds.

    i *heart* nerds. They are just too adorable :)


    did anyone else watch it??

          i don't live in the states either...we Canadians get a lot of the States channels though :)

          it was fun to watch, vespasian, it's too bad you missed it. :(

                Math rocks... Usually... But I have my weekly quiz in Diff EQs early this week... Even worse, it's gonna be memorization heavy (oh how I loathe thee, Euler's formula).

                    That is screwed up - they give them such specific words. I mean seriously, if they had any sense they would have used the more common meaning - no one cares about a warn, dry wind which blows over the rockies. Not to mention they pronouned it "Shinook"

                    Also isn't it Vocabulary - not spelling?

                      what loreanie posted isn't what i watched. the thing i watch was vocabulary. a sentence was read to each kid by the host of the show. the sentence contained many different words (BIG HONKING WORDS!) and after the sentence was read, the host would ask what word was a synonym or homonym for a certain word in that specific sentence, or what word means 'such and such' in french or whatever. it was a challenge on vocabularly, not on spelling.
